how to find a business name
well your guess is as good as mine. how do we find a business name that encompasses what we do and love yet is still catchy enough that folks will remember it? since much of what we do is teach hands on skills, appropriate tech and permiculture; what words do we use to describe those things simply and catchy? anyone have ideas? i would suggest looking at our web site for ideas but thats kinda self promotion to my mind and thats not the point.

Find a name that you can fill with meaning, versus have a name that defines you. There's your zen naming tip of the day.
ReplyDeletehmm the Zen name tip of the day :)
ReplyDeletewhat we are trying for is the name we fill with meaning, thats catchy to say and easy to find on the net.
Here's an example ... Sundance or SIFF (Seattle International Film Festival)? SIFF is a name so bad that it needs parenthesis.
ReplyDeleteIt's a lot like naming a boat. How did you end up with "Tari"?
we described what she was built from. this and that material the name just came to us out of the blue. Erica is the one who named her. usually a boat names itself when you build (at least to me) by the time her hull is done she has a personality the house goes on and her name shows through. the umiak we brought to the home built boat show named herself and you can tell when you talk to folks about her that her name is Spirit. its hard to tell how folks know but they do.
